Jess is one of New Zealand’s most successful and qualified dog trainers, being a master of her trade (Master of Soc Sci, behaviour and psychology). Over the past 20 years as a professional trainer she has seen every breed and pretty much every behaviour issue you could imagine! Despite her expertise in the area of behaviour issues, Jess knows where her real passion lies and that is PUPPIES! Jess knows that prevention is the key, educating dogs (and their owners) before any teething issues turn into major problems. Now she is offering a boutique service for discerning owners. Jess will work through all areas of puppy ownership. She can help select breeds suitable for lifestyles and then commence the very best training program for you and pup. Home visits are a big part of getting it right, as pups should be trained within their home first (this is where they normally spend the majority of their life so its important to get this part right!!). Once home routines are established and behaviour commands introduced, Jess will ensure life on the outside is just as successful. Don’t leave such an important job to chance. Jess offers a variety of packages to suit needs and budgets. Also, on offer to her clients is a New Zealand first- a mobile class room. The mobile office, that sets Puppy professionals apart, is a on- site office that functions as a indoor classroom for training. Jess knows that for the best possible dog/owner partnership that our pups need to be well behaved in all walks of life. The mobile classroom allows pups and their owners to be trained in real life scenarios, streets, parks, beaches. Let recalls and leash manners become a walk in the park! Puppies in parks, is an extension of the in-home service that allows our puppy clients to meet up in specific locations to socialise and train alongside their “puppy peers” under the watchful eye of our knowledge trainers to ensure continuing training success.
If you have had a rough time with your puppy and they have learned some antisocial behaviours along the way, or you have inherited a problematic dog, then Jess is now offering behaviour consulations and Training packages to help get you both back on track. Behaviour modification is a complicated process so experience and knowledge are a must for success. Jess will assess your dog and come up with a training plan and implement it to change their behaviour from bad to good. Training plans will include homework to be completed by owners as well as private sessions. Jess also offers a “bootcamp” service within the home whereby she will collect your dog from home and do training sessions. This is particuarly suitable for time poor ‘pawrents’, reactive dogs and dogs needing to build up confidence, as well as generally rambuncious puppies that need a confident handler to show them how to be the best canine citizens.

PUPPY SELECTION
Large puppy? Small puppy? Active puppy? Couch potato? What suits you? Puppy Professionals lets you in on some breed secrets to ensure you can find the perfect match for you and your family. Your dog will be a huge part of your life for the next 10 plus years so selecting the right breed can make a huge difference in overall puppy satisfaction. Genetics play a big part in dog behaviour so we can discuss your wishes and help ensure you get the right puppy "fit".
DAY TRAINING-INTENSIVE
This is an option that can take the stress out of training. Puppy Professionals can take your pup out during the day and walk and train them. This is a perfect option to ensure a park savvy pup that knows essential basics such as coming back when called, walking nicely on a lead and polite greeting manners. Behaviours that once mastered will make you the envy of all dog owners. This option is also the most suitable for time poor ‘Pawrents’, or behaviours that have become problematic.
Puppy socialisation
The first four months of pups life are crucial, this is when pup learns all about the world, either growing in confidence or becoming overwhelmed and withdrawn. Puppy Professionals can help ensure pup gets the very best introduction to life, so they can become confident and happy adults. We can offer play dates with sociable dogs, and also introductions to all walks of life, at a pace that suits each individual puppy.
Behaviour consultations
Even with our best efforts and intentions behaviour problems can slip into your dogs life. Having a wealth of experience and knowledge we can help with all behaviour issues. We will come and assess your dog, watch them in action, then come up with a suitable training plan. Not all dogs respond in the same way, so having an experienced trainer with many tools in their toolbelt gives the best possibility of success. Know you are in the best hands to get your dog back to being the good dog they were born to be.
PUPPY TRAINING
After 20 years in the game, Puppy Professionals have developed methods that are not only easy and fun but extraordinarily effective at teaching your pup. Keeping up to date with leading scientific methods means we are able to adapt our training style to each individual dog. Teaching basic commands early means there is no "re-training" of pup later. Pups are like sponges waiting to soak up information, so starting early makes life easier for everyone.
OWNER TRAINING
Puppy Professionals know that its just as much about training the human as it is training the dog. Owners learn how best to communicate with their pups so life is easy for all. Individualised training sessions mean any difficulties can be ironed out early and owners and Pups can train at a speed suitable for them. As pups transition through different developmental stages owners will be faced with new challenges, so having a personal tutor on hand can ensure even the most rambunctious pups develop into adult dogs that make you proud.
PUPPIES IN PARKS
A luxurious mobile classroom that serves as a meeting point for our active workshops. Our Puppy owners can train alongside their puppy peers to ensure all commands that have been taught at home and in private sessions can be transferred to a more social setting as well. Here we meet in parks and beaches ensuring recalls and leash manners are mastered. Its also a time for pups and owners to be sociable. Small groups mean that we can cover almost anything you want to learn.

Private consultation
A private session with a Puppy Professional trainer is all about you! This time can be spent discussing breed selection, preparing for puppy, choosing a puppy or training puppy to sleep through the night. We can talk about puppies all day and love to share our knowledge with you. All initial training is done at your home so we can cover anything you need or want to know.
Now accepting consults for behaviour problems in adult dogs too. We specialise in leash reactive dogs, and dogs with no recall, barking dogs, …you name, we’ve seen it.

puppies in parks
Puppy Professionals have a mobile classroom that caters as both a base for training as well as a sheltered area for learning. A four session workshop. Sit around the table with other puppy owners and learn all about puppy training in a comfortable environment whilst your pups take a small mental break in our portable lodgings. Puppies in parks will cover all basic training in social environments, fun for owners and their pups! Platinum owners will only pay $240 for the 4 week workshop.

Puppy introduction package
Puppies require lots of training when they first come home and as they develop so quickly you will be faced with new challenges each week. The introductory package books your instructor for two personal sessions of approximately 1.5 hours each. Here we can cover all things dog, from puppy proofing your home, toilet training as well as starting off with behaviour commands and leash walking.

DAY TRAINING - INTENSIVE
Too busy to train your dog? Feeling a little overwhelmed? Do you want a professional to help you? Puppy professionals will collect your puppy from home and give them a private session. These are super fun 'day-breaks' for your pup and something they will really look forward to. We ensure leash manners, polite greetings and recalls are all getting mastered whilst pup gets exercised and socilaised. For baby pups this is the best option if your busy at work as we can not only train them but feed them lunch as well.

platinum puppy package
The very best option for new puppy owners or for owners that are experiencing difficulties. FOUR private training sessions. These can be used as you wish, either all in home or starting in home and then moving to parks, streets, etc. Platinum owners will also receive a discount off the Puppies in Parks option.

Behaviour Consultation PACKAGE
For those Pesky Behavioural issues that may have slipped into you dogs life. Barking, reactivity, fearfulness etc. All these problems require a professional that can determine the issues at hand and the best way to make behaviour changes. Jess will assess the problem and create a personalised behaviour modification plan suited to you and your dog so you can both be happy again. Behaviour consults are TWO sessions included in the fee.
